In this hands-on workshop, you’ll knead, shape, and bake authentic Greek loaves like
horiatiko psomi (village bread), lagana (Greek flatbread), and koulouri (sesame rings), all
made with locally sourced ingredients and time-honored methods. As the warm aroma of
fresh bread fills the air, Georgina will share the history and significance of each recipe, giving
you a true taste of Kefalian and Greek baking traditions.
After baking, sit down to a feast of your freshly made bread, paired with local olive oils,
artisanal cheeses, wild honey, and homemade spreads—a true Greek - Kefalian countryside
experience. Whether you are a passionate baker or simply love great food, this workshop will

What a fantastic and authentic experience! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family. Learning how to make traditional Greek bread using local ingredients and an outdoor wood-fired oven was both fun and fascinating. The hosts shared stories about local traditions, culture, and village life, making the experience feel truly genuine. The smell of freshly baked bread, the beautiful surroundings, and the warm hospitality made this one of the highlights of our holiday in Kos. Beautiful way to spend an afternoon it was well organised and the whole team were lovely welcoming and made the experience fun We loved making the bread learning how to prepare the amazing outdoor oven it is an interactive activity and you can learn so much then to sit and talk about the island and the life of the islanders while enjoying pitta bread you made with local delicious ingredients. Thank you Helios team its was an amazing finish to our holiday and we will highly recommend the experience
