The Dikaios Challenge is the ultimate hiking experience on the island of Kos — a demanding ascent to the highest peak of the island, Mount Dikaios (843 m).

Designed for active travellers and adventure seekers, this extreme hiking tour takes you through forests, rocky mountain paths and exposed ridges until you reach the summit, where breathtaking panoramic views open across the entire island and the Aegean Sea.

The Experience

Starting from the traditional mountain village of Zia, the route gradually climbs through shaded forest paths before becoming steeper and more rugged as we approach the summit.

The challenge includes:

• Steep mountain ascent

• Rocky sections and loose stones

• Natural forest trails

The reward is unforgettable: a 360° panorama of Kos, Kalymnos, Nisyros and the Turkish coastline from the top of the island.

At the summit you will find the iconic cross and the small chapel of Christos Dikaios, a sacred place connected with local traditions and pilgrimages.
